Depression shows up in many forms from low mood, irritability, to sleeplessness, lethargy, lack of capacity to make decisions and so much more.

Perhaps it feels like it is robbing you of your capacity to enjoy life or maybe it feels like a black fog that is hanging over you with no way out of the feeling of bleakness and hopelessness.

Having an opportunity to explore your feelings with someone in a safe space can provide chinks of light into the abyss.  This time gives an opportunity to be heard and seen, just as you are, and explore around all the aspects of your life that are both challenging and delightful.

Sometimes people who are suffering from depression use different methods to escape their feelings such as alcohol, drugs, shopping, gambling, sex, eating, self harm and many more.  These coping strategies are helpful in some ways and self defeating in others and both sides are welcome.
